Plot hole? You need bandages.

The current Work in Progress started out of the NaNoWrMo (National Novel Witing Month) challenge. I started late, because I was just finishing a novel, then I spent a chunk of time proof reading a novel due out next year, and I hadn't really got a story in mind at the start.  No plan, a couple of characters, and nothing else.

I did have a blank flipchart sheet with "BLOOD" written at the centre, but that's not realy enough to make a story. Still, I started the NaNoWrMo, just to see where it would take me. I think My average word count for those days given to writing reached 2,000 words a day, so if I'd been prepared, and managed a full 30 days I might have made the 50K target.  Perhaps.

What I did find, as I whizzed through airship design, blood splatter and psychometry, was a plot hole. Plot problems usually need a few days, a couple of bottles of wine, a bar of chocolate and a long walk in the country to solve. This was NaNo, I didn't have time to mull it over.

Enter Sheena, of the Lesbian Review, and I can't recall her exact words but she said she wanted a mummy. So a mummy it is. When a Band Aid doesn't do it, then a bandage will.

Welcome then, Sh'Na, Queen of the desert. All I have to do is make sure there is no additional "s" as Queen of the Eternal Dessert is not as scary as it ought to be.
